Meow Mail...

Dear Samson,
There’s a cat in this book, too! So move over and make room for the ‘grand’ kitty.

Fan Mail:

Dear Cupid dawg…
I know your name is Samson and this book was written before my time.
But look out, mutt. I’m the ‘Grand’ pooch and I’m cuter and have spots!
Look out buster!
The next book cover is MINE!

WHERE THE IDEA CAME FROM...

News headlines are my weakness. So, when I say I appreciate Lenora Helmsley and You Tube you can guess what happened.

Ms. Helmsley leaves her fortune to her dog and a video from You Tube appears on Yahoo's front page. The snarling Chihuahua caught my attention, probably because my grandparents had two of the little mutts when I was a kid. What If questions filled my head.

What if the person in charge of a dog inheriting millions doesn't like the dog? What if it's two people, a man and a woman, attracted to each other on sight, couldn't admit their emotions because of their past? Kit McFarlan is motivated by regret, feeling she failed her grandmother. To make ease her guilt, Kit volunteers to attend visitations at the funeral home.

Drew Webber blames his parents' death in a traffic accident on his request to go to a theme park for his tenth birthday. And he thinks everyone he's cared about since, died.

The snarling Chihuahua and Kit's best friend keep this romance full of laughter and fun while Kit and Drew deny their attraction.

And this is why I appreciate Ms. Helmsley's decision to leave her fortune to her dog. It's a reminder of all the pets we have loved in the past. I have several. I'm sure you do as well.
