Back to dog 'tales'...

Since the arrival of the grandson I can't help but notice the family pooch is responding much like a first born child to the new addition. From years of having dogs, I know they share some of the same emotions as humans. How could you miss the look of embarrassment on our outside dog's face when husband picked him up and held him in his arms... Doggie loved attention, but holding him offended his dignity.
The grand pooch is an inside dog and very close to his family. Now, he looks confused. Why are these people holding this little screaming, demanding stink bomb and not me? It reminds me of Samson's actions in WHEN A DOG PLAYS CUPID.
Samson is bad tempered, snarling, unpleasant to deal with...until...he feels safe with Drew and Kim. This is a love story...humans and the dog as well as the hero and heroine falling in love.
Can you share a time when your dog's emotions seemed human?
